India-Trento Program for Advanced Research – Advanced methods for the analysis of optical and radar remote sensing images acquired by last generation satellite systems (ITPAR phase 3)

Project researchers

The project is developed within the India-Trento Program for Advanced Research – (ITPAR phase 3) with the aim to push scientific collaboration between Indian and Italian research institutions. The specific projet aims at developing advanced techniques being able to effectively analyse data acquired by the “last-generation” remote sensing sensors: i) Very high spatial/spectral resolution optical images; ii) Very high resolution polarimetric SAR images; and iii) Multi/hyper-temporal SAR and optical images. During the activity novel applications will be investigated with attention to challenges related to environmental monitoring, land surveillance, and man-made and natural resources.

Goals:
Develop novel advanced methods for the analysis of last generation sensors images and improve collaboration between Trento and India partners.
Date:
Sunday, 1 January, 2012 to Thursday, 31 December, 2015
